The American debate regarding censorship of hate speech is moving from traditional forms to newer ones found online. In particular, the internet has become a key organizing tool for hate groups. There is a large growing group of Internet members who can access the Internet and can have the opportunity to express an opinion about anything to compose their thoughts to the World Wide Web audience. The Internet allows freedom of expression without any limitations or regulation. Some viewers find the resultant of speech to be exciting and other viewers see speech over the Internet to be insulting, degrading, and offensive. I found that false statements of fact, fighting words, and threats are not protected from government restrictions. According to Fisher, â€Å"any communication over the Internet containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another is not protected in the Constitution and it is a crime.† In other words, speech that is crudely expressed or inappropriate without the regard to the speaker’s intended meanings is not protected in the First Amendment. He argues that government actions need to take place when threats and violence are inflicted in communication. I agree with Fisher. When people use explicit and cruel words when communicating on social media restrictions need to happen. Attacking someone with words certainly implicates the Constitution. When one person’s right to free expression leads to another person’s safety being jeopardized we need the government to sometimes decide on what few instances freedom of expression must be limited, even if only temporarily in order to save lives and keep people safe. I had never heard of that profession before so then I did my research. After many hours on the computer it was made clear to me that this is going to be my career. Therefore the many aspects of the job sparked an interest in me that cause me to choose occupational therapy to be my major. After my mother suggested occupational therapy and I did all my research I went into depth as to why it was the right choice for me. Because of my persistence, my aspiration will come true. Nobody can see into the future, but it is possible to assume or consider what might happen as a result of the effect. Considering the cause being the interest in the field of occupational therapy and the effect being the acceptance into the college that offers the major then a result of all that could be that I were to receive a job in a hospital as an occupational therapist. As soon as I get my masters degree and take my state wide test is it likely that I am to receive a position as an occupational therapist. If I get a job it is safe to say that I will make the salary of someone in this career. It is difficult to how one thing leads to another and it results but it is simple if it is just thought as the cause and effect. With selecting a major follows a very difficult process to make sure you found the best choice for you as an individual. The compatibility, the salary, and the job credentials all factor in as to choosing your major. I personally just want to have a job that when I am finished people will have gratitude toward the help I provided them with and that caused me to choose my major. I truly believe that my major that will turn into my career has nothing to do with me and my needs but for the aid it gives to the patience in need. The major I chose was not for my minute self but for the people that are in need of help to get them back on their feet and back to living a normal life like most people.
